We focus on communication, conversation and discussion skills to build confidence, concentration and social expression in kids. In every class, the children develop their ability to express their ideas, needs and interests. Every child gets to speak and perform in every class.

EACH CLASS TYPICALLY INCLUDES SOME OR ALL OF THE BELOW:

Each session covers a wide range of communication skills and activities, combining everyday conversation with:

• Vocal and physical warm-ups: Movement activities and the use of dynamic words to explore creative ways of using the voice and body in communication and develop relaxation, posture and breathing for speech.
• Public Speaking, voice & accent: Exercises to build voice production, articulation and improvement of spoken English
• Speech: sounds, pronunciation, vocal expression, rhythm, stress and intonation
• Language skills: Development of imaginative use of language, sound appreciation, verbal dynamics and story making.
• Communication skills/Circle Time: Discussion skills, listening skills, idea sharing, reading aloud of literature.
• Presentation skills: Preparing and presenting talks, confidence in public speaking, and presentation of verse, poetry and prose.
• Drama: Role-play activities enabling students to hone their creative thinking skills and imagination, giving them opportunities to tackle problem solving and risk-taking situations in an enjoyable, stress-free environment while building confidence in their ability to communicate.
• Literacy: Recording their responses to drama activities and stories allows students to build their awareness of different purposes and genres of writing.
